Jamshedpur Coronavirus Update: 865 Covid-19 recoveries bring down active cases to 6147

14 death, 530 new infections reported

Jamshedpur, May 11: Tuesday came as slight relief for Jamshedpur as recoveries outnumbered daily Covid infections.

A day after 1015 positive cases were reported, Jamshedpur recorded 530 positive cases against 865 recoveries on Tuesday and 14 deaths, East Singhbhum Covid bulletin said.
During this period, a total of 5263 Covid 
tests were conducted in Jamshedpur.


City reported 14 deaths on Tuesday while district’s positive cases tally has mounted to 43934. According to the data provided by the East Singhbhum district health department on Tuesday 14 fatalities were due to the Covid-19 infection in the last 24 hours. The death toll has climbed to 860. The total active cases have come down to 6147.

East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 306119 test per million in the district.Sidhgora and Kadma locality of Steel City continues to be a Covid hotspot with 71 and 58 cases reported respectively.

As per the records of health department  out of 5263 people who underwent Covid tests in East Singhbhum 530 were found positive.

As many as 36927 people have recovered from COVID-19 so far with 865 recoveries recorded in the last 24-hours. Over 5000 COVID-19 tests, including 2139 RT-PCR and 2685 RAT were conducted in the last 24 hours in the city.

The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 85.08% while the mortality rate is 1.96%.

So far in Jamshedpur 822988 samples have been collected out of which 814889 have been tested and 770955 have turned out to be negative.
