Jamshedpur, July 14: The COVID-19 situation in the city is gradually turning grave with cases rising every day.
34 new cases have come up 11 different city locations on Thursday, July 14. Thirteen cases have been reported from Chakulia, 5 from Telco, three each from Dhalbhumgarh, Birsanagar and Bistupur, 2 from Kadma and 1 each from Sonari, Golmuri, Govindpur, Parsudih and Patamda.
399 samples were tested on Thursday of which 34 came out positive.
10 positive cases came up against 85 RTPCR test. Of the 307 RAT test 24 were tested positive.
The Coronavirus tally in Jamshedpur has risen to 70135.
With 14 fresh recoveries on Thursday, a total number of 68,831 patients have been discharged since the breakout while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 169.
The death toll in Jamshedpur has remained at 1135.
Recovery rate is 98.19% while mortality rate is 1.62 %.
East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 912725 tests per million in the district.
So far in Jamshedpur 2429958 samples have been collected out of which 2429675 have been tested and 2359540 have turned out to be negative.
As Covid restrictions have been removed, citizens are crowding at market places, big fat Indian weddings are taking place and restaurants are being operated with full capacity, new virus cases are rising once more. Urban area of the city has been reporting surge in cases.
