Jamshedpur cops still clueless in Amarnath Singh death case

Jamshedpur, March 11: Olidih police are clueless about the cause of death of real estate businessman Amarnath Singh even after 48 hours.

Department sources said senior officials are probing every possible angle in the case to unravel the mystery shrouding Amarnath’s death. The businessman’s body was found in a decomposed state from his house at Old Subhash Colony under Olidih PS area. Amarnath’s wife, Meera Singh, is being questioned regarding the incident without much success, sources said.

Meanwhile, police are waiting for the autopsy report to conclude about the cause of death of the businessman. Cops also spoke to Amrit Singh, son of the deceased, who reached here from Jaipur, to perform last rites of his father. Amrit has revealed internal issues of his house to police. Cops however did not divulge the information received from him.

Amrit, when asked to take his mother along with him by police, refused to do so, sources said. Meera Singh had refused to allow cops to enter her house on the day of recovery of her husband’s body. She had electrified the grills of her house to prevent people from entering.
