Jamshedpur: Consumer forum directs Flipkart for compensation

Seraikela, May 4. Adanki Mohan, a resident of Sini, had lodged a complaint of fraud on Flipkart Company with the Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission on 22 November 2021. In which the commission has convicted the Flipkart company and issued a direction to pay compensation. The commission has ordered payment of Rs 2,6,743 per annum along with 12 per cent interest while placing an ex-party order. If the payment is not made within two months, an arrest warrant will be issued against the company.

According to the complaint, Adanki Mohan had booked an air ticket of British Airways on 13 April 2021 through Flipkart during the Corona period. But the flight operations were closed during the Covid period. When he reached Delhi, he was stopped at the airport. When he informed about the matter to Flipkart, they were evasive. After which a complaint was made to the commission.
