Seraikela, May 4: Jamshedpur resident Mohammad Gulzar Hassan, 30, was seriously injured when a truck hit his bike near the Pampara petrol pump on the Saraikela-Chaibasa main road at 6:15 pm on Thursday. The trucker fled with the vehicle. Gulzar Hassan suffered fractures in both his hands and received other severe injuries. The locals rushed him in a road ambulance to Saraikela Sadar Hospital where, in view of his critical state, doctors provided primary treatment and referred him to MGM Hospital in Jamshedpur for better treatment. According tom information, Md Gulzar Hassan, the biker in the hit and run case, was posted as a site engineer at the Chakradharpur railway project site and for convenience had taken up residence in Saraikela. The report further said that Hassan was returning to Saraikela at the end of the day’s work when his bike was hit by a truck near the Pampara petrol pump. The truck sped away after the accident.
