Congress protest against Agnipath scheme

Jamshedpur, July 13: Congress party members under the leadership of senior Vice President of East Singhbhum District Congress Committee, Prince Singh, held a protest on Wednesday at the Sakchi roundabout against the central government’s Agnipath scheme. Prince Singh said on the occasion that the Congress party had always stood up against atrocities that created disillusionment among the youth and played with their future. The Agnipath scheme, he said, was a repressive measure against the youth, advocated by the Narendra Modi led BJP government at the Centre. He said, “The Modi government is out to cheat the youth. The Agnipath scheme should be immediately repealed and if it is not, the Congress party will hold protests at every Chowk and road crossing until Agnipath scheme is withdrawn.” Those who participated in the Congress protest at the Sakchi roundabout on Wednesday included, among others, Gurdeep Singh, Maulana Ansar Khan, Usha Yadav, Satyam Singh, Neeraj Sahu and Bhawani Singh.
