Ghatshila, July 13: Bhandara was organized on Wednesday, July 13 on the occasion of Guru Purnima at Sai Dham temple in Ghatshila’s Bagula village. The temple’s caretaker, Putu Ram Munda informed that Sai Dham temple was established 17 years ago. He said, “Kolkata High Court lawyer, Dilip Kumar Chowdhury had come on a visit to Ghatshila along with his family. He expressed his desire to build a Sai temple on a portion of my land and I assented to his proposal. He then had this Sai Dham temple constructed with his own money. He had asked me not to ask for money from anyone for, he said that Sai devotees would come here on their own.”
The caretaker further informed that the former Ghatshila SDO, Girija Shankar Prasad was also a Sai devotee and used to come to the temple often. Putu Ram Munda said, “The former Ghatshila SDO made it a point to send flowers every day for worship.’
On the occasion of Guru Purnima on Wednesday, Patanjali Mega Store owner and Sai devotee, Asish Agarwal and his family organized a Bhandara in Shri Sai Dham temple where approximately 1,500 persons partook of the consecrated food or Prasad.
