Jamshedpur, July 20: Irate Congress party members today burnt the effigy of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath near the Mango Chowk today in a show of protest against the state government�s stopping the party�s general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra�s cavalcade while going to meet the families of the Sonbhadra victims.
The Congress members led by party leader Baldev Singh shouted slogans against UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for preventing Priyanka Gandhi Vadra from meeting the kin of the victims of Sonbhadra murders. Baldev Singh said, �The Congress party cannot be cowed down by BJP dictators. By stopping Priyankaji�s entourage, the Yogi government has exposed the fear that has gripped the people of UP. At the same time, the UP government has been trying to hide its failures by not allowing our leaders to meet the affected families of the dastardly Sonbhadra murders.�
Those present during the Congress protest and effigy burning at Mango included state Youth Congress secretary Rakesh Sahu, Maulana Ansar, Munna Mishra, KP Ravishankar, Punita Chowdhary, Mallu Singh, Subodh Pal, Rita Gupta, Mukesh Yadav, Parvati Sharma, Dipak Gupta, Sitaram Chowdhary, Gopal Sao and many others.
