Jamshedpur: In a landmark event, the inauguration of the All India Congress Committee’s new headquarters, ‘Indira Bhawan’, at 9A Kotla Road in New Delhi took place on Wednesday. The grand ceremony was graced by senior Congress leaders, including Sonia Gandhi, who officially opened the building, symbolising a new chapter for the party.
The event saw the participation of several high-profile Congress leaders, such as National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Jharkhand in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir, and State President Keshav Mahato Kamlesh. The occasion was also marked by the presence of key figures from Jamshedpur, including former National Secretary of Youth Congress Jyotish Kumar Yadav, former Block President Upendra Tiwari, National Secretary of Youth Congress Rajesh Sinha, and Jharkhand Youth Congress General Secretary Ved Prakash Tiwari.
In a press release, Jyotish Kumar Yadav expressed his pride in attending the event, stating that the new headquarters would be a milestone in Congress history. “This new building stands on the same grounds where our ancestors envisioned the party’s establishment. It is a proud moment for all of us,” Yadav remarked. He further emphasised that the inauguration sent a clear message of strengthening the party’s unity and dedication to its values.
Congress leaders across the country hailed the occasion as a significant step towards revitalising the party’s presence and focus, with the new headquarters symbolising the Congress’s enduring commitment to serving the nation.
