Jamshedpur: Commissioner review schemes in Kolhan region

Jamshedpur, February 14: Kolhan commissioner Manoj Kumar reviewed development schemes in three district of East and West Singhbhum and Seraikela Kharsawan at Chaibasa on Saturday.

 The updated status of compliance of the instructions given by the Commissioner in the last meeting was also reviewed and information was sought from various department on problems , if any, was faced in undertaking welfare schemes at rebel hit areas.

 The commissioner said that in Naxal-affected areas, the administration and the police will work to provide basic basic facilities to the people by establishing mutual coordination and will also work to connect the villagers of remote areas with the mainstream.

 In the meeting, special emphasis was laid by the Divisional Commissioner on basic facilities like road, electricity, drinking water and mobile connectivity especially in the remote areas of the districts.

 He said that the officials need to work at the grassroots level to get the schemes on the ground. The officer himself should go to the site and work on the related plans. He told all the officials present that if there is a problem in doing developmental work in the remote or naxal-affected area of the division, then bring it to the notice of the concerned Deputy Commissioner or Superintendent of Police immediately so that appropriate solution can be found for that problem.

The meeting was attended by DIG Kolhan Ajay Linda, deputy commissioners and senior police officials of all the three districts and departmental heads of all government departments.
