Jamshedpur, July 10 : The construction work of new railway under bridge is going on at Salgajhudi for the third line being laid by the Railways for Tata-Kharagpur.
In this sequence, the old under bridge has been completely closed by the Railways without any alternative arrangement. Due to which the movement of the people of about 15 panchayats from the city has been badly affected.
Due to the closure of the under bridge, people have to cross the railway gate to reach the city. Due to frequent closure of railway gates, a situation of jam arises. People are not able to reach their industrial establishments on time, it has also become difficult to take the patient to the hospital by ambulance.
This is the only main road (under bridge) to connect the entire rural area to the city which has been closed.
Ram Singh Munda, media in-charge of BJP State Scheduled Caste Morcha, resident of Salgajhudi, said that he had written a letter to the regional manager of South Eastern Railway last days informing about the problems of the people. The regional manager was requested to deploy traffic police near Salgajhudi gate in the morning and evening.
