Jamshedpur, June 11: The Super Division of the JSA Football League 2025 kicked off in thrilling fashion at the Tinplate Sports Complex, with an action-packed opening match between Thakkar Bapa Club and Classic Eight. The inauguration was graced by JSA Secretary V. Ramkrishna and Chairman of the Selection & Technical Committee, Victor Somaya.
Classic Eight secured a narrow 3-2 victory in a high-octane encounter that set the tone for an exciting season ahead. The match saw early dominance from Classic Eight, with Jr. No. 08 Akash Mandi opening the scoring in the 25th minute. They doubled their lead through Jr. No. 13 Banti Mukhi in the 52nd minute. Although Thakkar Bapa Club’s Jr. No. 09 Vishal Mukhi pulled one back in the 66th minute, Classic Eight quickly responded with another goal by Jr. No. 10 Deepak Soren in the 68th minute. Thakkar Bapa Club showed resilience, narrowing the gap again with a goal from Jr. No. 19 Sidharat Mukhi in the 84th minute.
Sidharat Mukhi also received the match’s only yellow card in the 57th minute. Match officials included Amrit Dang, Sibhiram Soren, Prodipto Sarkar, and Sumit Kumar Singh. With the Super Division now underway, fans can look forward to more thrilling contests in the coming weeks.
