Jamshedpur, April 19: City police here launched a drive against overcrowding of public places by gossipers and violation of traffic laws in different police station areas on Tuesday.
Leading the drive, SP City K Vijay Shankar seized several vehicles found parked recklessly on roads at Sakchi, Sonari, Kadma and Bistupur. The vehicle owners were warned against encroaching roads and other public places by parking in an unauthorized manner.
The SP also visited Jubilee Park Gate No 1 to take action against people gathering at shops and tea stalls for unnecessary gossiping. He appealed to the people to stop encroaching the roads and overcrowding public places when not necessary to do so. He also asked them to follow traffic rules to prevent fatalities.
