Jamshedpur Sikhs: CGPC mulls stricter implementation of marriage rules

Jamshedpur, May 28: The Central Gurdwara Management Committee convened for a significant meeting at the CGPC office on Sunday. Several crucial decisions were made, including constitutional amendments and the strict enforcement of marriage rules. The meeting commenced with a prayer, and almost all members were present to participate in the discussions and seal the decisions.

During the meeting, Bhagwan Singh sought the house’s consensus regarding the repair and beautification of the CGPC office, both internally and externally. Additionally, it was decided to allocate a portion of the office for rental purposes. Sardar Shailendra Singh, referring to the rules established in 2003 for marriages, emphasized the necessity of their strict implementation. The house agreed to this proposition, although some members also raised concerns about the need for certain rules to be more flexible.

Prominent figures in attendance, such as Gurmeet Singh Tote, Gurdeep Singh Pappu, Narendrapal Singh Bhatia, Gurcharan Singh Billa, Sardar Nishan Singh, Amarjit Singh, Surjit Singh Khushipur, Gurnam Singh Bedi, Chanchal Singh, and several others, expressed their agreement with the decisions made during the meeting, ensuring their endorsement. The meeting concluded on a productive note, with the decisions effectively sealed and ready to be implemented.
