Jamshedpur, Feb 8: It has been almost 5 months since CBSE 12th results were published, students have also taken admission in various colleges of the country, online classes are also going on, but CBSE has not issued original migration certificates of students from many states including Jharkhand till now.

Many college managements of the country have been continuously demanding the original migration certificate, due to which the students as well as their parents were upset. At the same time, there is a migration certificate available in DigiLocker, which was being submitted by the students but the colleges were declaring it invalid. Even many schools were giving after verifying the certificates taken out from Digilocker but the colleges were adamant on the original certificate only.

The matter came to light when a college in Rajasthan made it mandatory for many girls of Dhanbad to have an original migration certificate. On this matter, BJP Jharkhand leader cum former  MLA Kunal Sarangi  wrote to the Prime Minister’s Office, Union Education Minister, Minister of State for Education and CBSE in this regard and drew attention to the problems of the students. CBSE, while replying to the BJP leader on this subject, said that on January 5 itself, instructions have been issued in this regard that all the documents of DigiLocker are legally valid and acceptable.

Kindly visit the website of UGC and see the notice dated 05.01.2022. Where the University Grants Commission has directed all universities/colleges and institutes to accept all documents available in Digilocker. BJP state spokesperson Kunal Sarangi has expressed hope that CBSE’s clear answer will not disturb the management of any educational institution in which students of other states including Jharkhand have taken admission in this regard.
