Jamshedpur, July 6: Anil Kumar Jha, residing on D’Costa Road in the Jugsalai police station area, has filed a court complaint accusing his wife Ankita Jha and father-in-law Sushil Jha of murdering his mother. Following a court order, the police have registered an FIR and initiated an investigation. The FIR has been filed under older sections related to the case.
In his complaint, Anil Jha stated that his mother, Renuka Devi, who was mentally ill, passed away on May 3, 2024. Initially, her last rites were conducted, but Anil now suspects that his wife Ankita Jha strangled his mother to death. He mentioned to the police that his relationship with his wife had been strained, often leading to arguments, which may have prompted her to commit the alleged crime. Ankita currently resides at her maternal home on Sakchi Tapti Road.
The Jugsalai police have commenced their investigation into the case following the registration of the FIR.
