Jamshedpur, March 29: Jugsalai police arrested Pramod Kumar Mishra, resident of Mango Gurdwara Road, accused in a bank fraud case, after a period of nine years and sent him to judicial custody on Wednesday. The accused was arrested from Amethia Nagar, Namkum, Ranchi, cops said. Police said that due to the fear of being arrested, the accused had been changing his hideout frequently. The accused lived in Doranda Press Colony, Ranchi. He used to change his location frequently to evade arrest. According to Jugsalai police station in-charge Kunal Kumar, the accused was absconding for 9 years. As soon as his location was found, the police team raided and nabbed him. Altogether 16 people have been made accused in the fraud of Rs 2 crores in the Jugsalai branch of Canara Bank. In this case, the then bank manager was also arrested and sent to jail, sources said.
