Jamshedpur, April 18: Fire broke out in the bushes at Manifit Mandal Basti on Monday. No casualty was however reported in the incident, officials said.
According to sources, flames suddenly erupted from the bushes probably as a result of reckless throwing of cigarette or deliberate throwing of some burning object by mischief-mongers. The fire was doused by a fire tender of Tata Power after much effort.
Local residents said they were alarmed on seeing high flames emanating from the dry bushes. They said they had informed local police and fire department about the incident to get urgent help.
