Jamshedpur, May 14: Rushil Kumar of Hill Top School, Telco (Jamshedpur) has been crowned national topper in ICSE Class 10 exam, the result of which was announced on Sunday afternoon. Rushil scored 499 marks.
Rushil Kumar is among nine students across the country who have bagged top positions. Annanya Karthik, Shreya Upadhyay, Advay Sardesai, Yash Manish Bhasein, Tanay Sushil Shah, Hiya Sanghavi, Avishi Singh and Sambit Mukhopadhyay have also scored 499 marks.

Rushil’s parents, Rajesh Sharma and Sumar Devi are residents of Govindpur and his father is in the construction business, while his mother is a homemaker.
Rushil did not take any tuition and has been a consistent performer throughout his academic career. He is a hard worker and a self-motivated individual who regularly studied throughout the year. In addition, he solved previous year examination papers and watched TV for only a couple of hours during the exams. He received tremendous support from his teachers and parents.

After achieving this milestone, Rushil has started his preparations for the JEE and is determined to get into the civil services. The school principal, Uma Tiwary, congratulated Rushil and stated that he has made his parents, school, and city proud. She further added that Rushil has been an extremely sincere and dedicated student. Rushil’s achievement is a source of inspiration for students who aim to excel in their academic pursuits. His determination and hard work have proved that with focus and dedication, anything is possible.
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) today announced the result for the ISC and ICSE. ICSE students scored 98.94%, while 96.93% is the pass percentage for ISC students.

In the ICSE exam, 237,631 students appeared of which 128,131 are boys and 109,500 are girls. Similarly, in the ISC exam, 98,505 students appeared of which 51,781 are boys and 46,724 are girls.
Girls in both Class 10 and Class 12 have outshone boys. While in the ICSE exams, the girls got 99.21%, and boys scored 98.71%. Similarly, in the ISC exams, girls’ pass percentage is at 98.01% while boys are at 95.96%.
The ICSE examination has been conducted in 63 written subjects of which 21 are Indian languages and 14 are foreign languages and 2 Classical languages.
