Jamshedpur BJP condemns party worker�s killing, seeks speedy police action

Jamshedpur, May 12: Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP president Dinesh Kumar condemned the killing of party activist Hopna Hembram in Parsudih and demanded arresting of the culprits. He said the police should conduct a speedy probe into the incident and arrest those responsible for the bloodshed.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Kumar said Hembram was a dedicated member of the party and that the incident was a testimony to the fact that the Opposition parties were trying every bit to disturb peace in the district.

�Hopna Hembram was shot dead when he was distributing booth slips in his area. It appears that JMM leaders have tried to disturb communal harmony as seen earlier in Nagadih,� he said.

Kumar and other BJP leaders reached TMH late yesterday evening after Hembram was taken to TMH in critical condition. The BJP ST Morcha activist was pronounced brought dead by the doctors.

The BJP district president said the party stood with the family members of the deceased. He was accompanied by Anil Modi, Sandeep Sharma, Vinanand Sirka and Bari Murmu.
