Day after polling: Jamshedpur candidates brainstorm on voting trend, BJP sitting MP celebrates marriage anniversary

Jamshedpur: The day after polling has brought enough relief in the lives of candidates as they took a break from hectic schedules unwinding themselves with their family and also brainstorming on voting trend. The MP- hopefuls in fray for the coveted Jamshedpur Lok Sabha are also keeping fingers crossed with a hope to win.

BJP candidate Bidyut Baran Mahto started his day with morning cuppa along with the party workers who gathered at his Bistupur residence to ponder on the voting trend. Latter, he visited party�s Sakchi office to celebrate his marriage anniversary.

Mahto participated in a cake cutting ceremony and received warm wishes from party workers. Dinesh Kumar, district BJP president extended his best wishes to him. Kumar congratulated him and said that the party is confident of his victory with a record margin.    

�It was a get-together wherein Mahto also thanked party workers for their support. He was in a happy mood today. He interacted with the party workers and took feedback from them for nearly two hours. Like every day he performed puja at his home and also had a light breakfast,� said a close aide of the BJP candidate.

JMM�s Champai Soren said: �I have been following a strict routine ever since I was declared the candidate. I used to leave home early and used to return late evening. Today I am enjoying the much-needed break,� Soren adding that he enjoyed his home food after a gap of about three weeks. Soren also met party workers at his house.

Jamshedpur will go for counting on May 23 to decide the fate of 23 candidates in fray. Presently, Jamshedpur Lok Sabha constituency that comprises six Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) segments Baharagora Ghatshila, Potka, Jugsalai, Jamshedpur East and Jamshedpur West witnessed 66.44 per cent voting.
