Jamshedpur, Dec 7: The first Sunday of December brought a cheerful, picnic-friendly atmosphere to Jamshedpur, as cool breezes and warm sunshine encouraged residents to step out and enjoy the day with family and friends. Major city parks, especially the iconic Jubilee Park, were bustling from morning, with families, schoolchildren and youngsters participating in games, sports and outdoor activities.

Children enjoyed swings, slides and open fields, while some played cricket and badminton and others engaged in group games like tug-of-war. Families savoured home-packed meals ranging from pulao and vegetables to chicken and sweets, with several groups adding music and dance to the lively environment.
Park management and local police maintained strict vigilance to ensure safety and smooth operations, while sanitation staff actively kept the grounds clean for visitors.
Tourism hotspots, including Dimna Lake, have also become magnets for visitors from nearby districts and states like Bihar and West Bengal. Families are enjoying picnics amidst the green valleys, taking boat rides and capturing memories with selfies along the scenic lake.
The pleasant weather is expected to continue in the coming days, further fuelling the picnic season. As the city gears up for the New Year, outdoor spaces in Jamshedpur are likely to witness even larger crowds, making December a peak season for leisure and recreation.
