Jamshedpur, July 25: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued a list of holidays for commercial and public sector banks in different states. The general holidays include Independence Day, the second and fourth Saturdays and Raksha Bandhan. The relevant regional holidays enlisted by RBI for the month of August are Tendong Lho Rum Faat, Shahenshahi (Parsee New Year), Srmanta Shankradev Birth Anniversary, Onam, Thiruvonam, Shri Narayan Guru Jayanti and Pang Labasol. The 14 day holiday list includes Sundays. However, during these holidays, banking business including financial and non-financial can be transacted through net banking, mobile banking or WhatsApp banking during the holidays provided these facilities are activated with the bankers concerned.
