Jamshedpur, Nov 25: The court of Principal District and Sessions Judge of Jamshedpur Civil Court rejected the anticipatory bail plea of Central Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (CGPC) Pradhan Gurmukh Singh Mukhe on Friday.
The rejection of Mukhe’s bail plea has dealt a major blow to his election prospects. Mukhe had reportedly purchased the nomination form through his nephew for the post of Pradhan ahead of the upcoming CGPC elections. With rejection of his bail plea, his opponents are in joyous mood since now it will not be possible for Mukhe to file his nomination paper without making physical appearance at the CGPC office.
Mukhe’s supporters claimed that the CGPC Pradhan could purchase nomination papers as he was not yet proven guilty.
