Jamshedpur, June 20: The District Sports Department, East Singhbhum, organised an awareness campaign against substance abuse at the Volleyball Training Centre in Kadma on Saturday. Coaches and athletes participated in a foot march around the training centre and nearby schools to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drugs.
Carrying banners and raising slogans such as “Quit drugs, embrace sports,” “Healthy youth, empowered nation,” and “A drug-free society is our pledge,” the participants urged people to stay away from substance abuse and adopt a healthy lifestyle.
The campaign aimed to educate citizens, particularly young people, about the dangers of drug addiction and encourage them to engage in sports and other constructive activities. The District Sports Department appealed to the public to join the fight against drugs and contribute towards building a healthier and drug-free society.
