Jamshedpur, April 20: Appu Tiwari, the founder president of Brahmin Yuva Shakti Sangh, reacted strongly to filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s recent controversial remarks about the Brahmin community. In a press release, Tiwari condemned the statement, calling it highly objectionable and hurtful to the sentiments of Brahmins across the country.
Raising pointed questions, Appu Tiwari asked whether Kashyap was targeting Brahmin artistes, directors, members of the Censor Board, or political leaders, both, from the ruling and opposition parties or the entire Brahmin community. He stated firmly that while ‘sycophant Brahmins’ might ignore such comments, others like him would not remain silent.
Tiwari emphasized that had the same remarks been made against any other community, there would have been an immediate and intense backlash. He warned that legal action would be taken and that he was prepared to drag Anurag Kashyap to court.
In addition, Appu Tiwari challenged Kashyap to a public debate, stating, “Decide the time and place, the Brahmin community is ready with answers.” He concluded by demanding a public apology from Anurag Kashyap for his offensive comments.
