Jamshedpur: A Public Grievance Redressal Day was organized at the Collectorate office where Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi patiently heard a wide range of public grievances from citizens, including women, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities. Addressing the gathering, he assured prompt and sensitive redressal of their issues, while directing officials from concerned departments to act swiftly and fairly on each application received.

During the camp, citizens raised matters such as encroachment on government land, blocked drainage systems, education loans, medical aid for thalassemia patients, land disputes, ration card issues, demands for closure of country liquor shops, road construction and repair, traffic management, accident compensation, disaster relief for damaged houses, and pension-related problems. Requests were also submitted for school fee waivers, resolution of family disputes, shop allotments, stray animal control, builder-related complaints, and loan assistance under various schemes.
The Deputy Commissioner issued clear instructions to officials to treat each application with the urgency and seriousness it deserves and ensure resolution within the prescribed timeline. He emphasized that departmental coordination must be prioritized to prevent unnecessary delays and spare the public from repeated visits to government offices. Several issues were addressed and resolved on the spot, reflecting the administration’s commitment to citizen-centric governance.
