Two-wheeler theft in Jamshedpur sparks public outrage

Mail News Service

Jamshedpur: A major theft occurred in Parsudih’s Kochakuli area late Wednesday night, where unidentified miscreants stole a Royal Enfield Bullet (JH05DL-3929) and a scooter (JH05DX-6015) from the residence of Sahdev Karua. The incident caused panic in the locality when the theft was discovered in the morning, with residents questioning police efficiency.

Sahdev Karua is a relative of JLKM leader Ganpati Karua, who rushed to the spot along with JLKM district vice president Bharat Singh. Ganpati Karua blamed the Parsudih police for being inactive, alleging rampant drug trade and lack of night patrolling in the area. “There is no fear of law among criminals. If police do not recover the stolen vehicles and arrest the culprits soon, locals will gherao the police station,” Karua warned. Bharat Singh echoed his concerns, calling out rising crime due to police negligence.

This incident comes despite recent transfers of several station in-charges by SSP Piyush Pandey in a bid to control crime. However, locals feel no significant change has occurred in Parsudih, where thefts, drug trade, and open criminal activities continue unchecked.
