Jamshedpur, July 5:  Jamshedpur witnessed a transformative event as the basement of Mangal Tower in Kadma, previously occupied by shops and warehouses, was cleared and repurposed into a parking lot following a directive from the Jharkhand High Court. Acting on the court’s orders to address map deviations, a team from Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee undertook the task on Thursday without facing any significant opposition.

Under the supervision of City Manager Joy Gudiya and engineers Prakash Sahu, Satyajit Mahato, and Sanjay Kumar, the operation commenced with the evacuation of a studio located in the basement of Holding Number 16, Kadma Shop Area. Despite initial logistical challenges, including the need to utilize labourers due to restricted JCB access, the team efficiently dismantled the shop to facilitate the conversion process.

The initiative, enforced under the strict scrutiny of the High Court, saw the premises cleared by midday, with local authorities ensuring compliance amidst the presence of curious onlookers.
