Gamharia, August 7: Akash Mahato of Mahuldih Tola in Nengtasai village, Gamharia, has made his region proud by securing a prestigious full scholarship with a perfect score in the Azim Premji University entrance exam for the academic year 2023. Akash completed his secondary education in the arts stream from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Saraikela and his Bachelor’s degree in Geography from Delhi University with top honours.
Akash said that with the scholarship, he aimed to contribute to the development of various sectors through advanced research in a more effective manner. He envisioned transforming his village and similar rural areas into modern communities where education, health, clean environment, ethical and social values would be prioritized, thus fostering a progressive societal environment.
Akash attributed his achievement to his parents, teachers, and mentors at both school and college. “I am grateful for the guidance and support I have received throughout my academic journey,” he said.
