Gamharia, August 7: Arjun Prasad Yadav, the State General Secretary of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has urged the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Kolhan Region and the Superintendent of Police of the district to establish a permanent police post at Lal Building Chowk in Gamharia. Yadav highlighted the increasing incidents of criminal activities in the Adityapur and Gamharia police station areas and emphasized the need for police presence in the Lal Building Chowk area to combat the rising crime rate.
Considering the frequent occurrences of theft, burglary, and other criminal incidents in the Lal Building Chowk market between Adityapur and Gamharia, Yadav emphasized the necessity of deploying a police officer along with a police contingent at the existing police beat constructed in Lal Building Chowk. This move would provide relief to the general public and shopkeepers from the prevalent problems.
The recent jewellery store robbery that took place in broad daylight in Gamharia served as a stark example of the insecurity prevailing in the area. “Shopkeepers are feeling increasingly unsafe, warranting immediate action. Establishing a permanent police post at Lal Building Chowk would enhance security and deter criminal activities,” contended Yadav.
