Jamshedpur, June 11: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav visited the proposed site of Dhalbhumgarh Airport on Saturday, fueling speculations that the airport construction would begin very soon.
Sources said the DC inspected the 2.83 km long runway at the airport site and spoke to local administrative officials about various aspects of the project.
The DC also sought information about the number of trees that would be cut to construct the airport. She visited Kala Pathar Devsthan situated near the airport site. She said a meeting would be held with the local residents and decision would be held accordingly to remove every hurdle impeding airport construction project. She did not speak about the environmental NOC for the airport project.
