Jamshedpur, May 14: Advocate Sudhir Kumar Pappu has demanded setting up of a judicial commission to probe various scams that came to light in Jharkhand in the last 22 years.
In a press statement issued on Saturday, Pappu said the recovery of Rs 19 crore from the CA of IAS officer Pooja Singhal is just the tip of the iceberg. A large chunk of the booty is still with the former Chief Ministers, ministers and bureaucrats, he said.
Pappu said the judicial commission should probe all scams that have been unearthed till date since the day of formation of Jharkhand. The properties of ministers and bureaucrats should be subjected to scrutiny.
“I request Prime Minister Narendra Modi to form a three member judicial commission to probe the corruption cases that have been either reported or buried in files. Jharkhand Public Service Commission has been riddled with corruption ever since its formation. Action should be taken against the corrupt JPSC officials and their associates.” said Pappu.
