ICAI Jamshedpur: CAs informed about latest amendments

Jamshedpur, May 14: The two-day academic programme of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Jamshedpur chapter, concluded on Saturday.

During the concluding day programme, various speakers informed the participants about latest amendments in income tax, goods and services tax (GST), Companies Act and other laws.

During the first session, CA Chintan Patel from Ahmedabad spoke on common mistakes related to accounting standards. He spoke about the latest amendments in the Indian Accounting Standards and Schedule III of the Companies Act. The session was chaired by CA Pratap Kumar Burman.

The second session was related to faceless assessment and appeal under the Income Tax Act. CA Soumil Agrawal from New Delhi elaborated on the subject. The session was chaired by CA Vivek Choudhary.

The two day programme was conducted by CA Yogesh Sharma, secretary ICAI Jamshedpur chapter. The speakers were jointly introduced by CA Ankita Agrawal and CA Mukund Kedia. Many dignitaries were present during the event.
