Jamshedpur, Jan 31: A delegation of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) led by president Vijay Anand Moonka met additional commissioner Central GST Dharamjit Kumar and other officials.
Various problems being faced by the traders were discussed on this occasion, especially, the department protested against the notices being served on various issues like Trans-1, ratio analysis, access utilization of input credit etc.
Vijay Anand Moonka said that it is completely unethical to verify the credit taken by the department in Trans-1 after a gap of four years and not give proper time period for the same. In the past, the businessmen whose trans-1 verification has been done, the department has also sent a notice to them again, which is wrong. Apart from this, on the basis of BIFA report, notice of ratio analysis is being given to the businessmen, in which the data given is wrong in most of the cases. Therefore, notice should be given by the department only after making appropriate corrections. There is an atmosphere of fear among the businessmen due to the continuous giving of notices by the department on various issues. Therefore, the chamber has demanded that before giving notice to the businessmen, the department should do a thorough study of the data available with it and notice should be sent only in those cases where discrepancies are found.
On this, the Additional Commissioner said that on the basis of the information given by the DGRM, New Delhi, the notice is being given to the businessmen. However, he assured that there is no need for businessmen to get worried over this. The businessmen should respond to the notice on the basis of correct data. He assured the delegation that full cooperation would be given to the businessmen by the department.
