Jamshedpur ACB catches forest officer taking bribe, recovers Rs 1 Cr

Jamshedpur, May 26: The anti corruption bureau (ACB) team of Jamshedpur, took a big action in Chakradharpur and arrested the Ranger with Rs 1 crore. 
In Manoharpur block, ACB took action on Thursday and arrested and sent to jail the forest area officer (Ranger) of Koyna area, Podahat Anandpur and Songra Chakradharpur, Vijay Kumar and his computer operator Manish Poddar with illegal cash money of 1 crore.

In this regard, Ganesh Pramanik of Manoharpur had complained to the ACB about demanding Rs 2,500 as bribe for taking the old bed to Jamshedpur. During the action led by ACB DSP S. Tirkey, the Ranger and his computer operator were arrested red-handed.
 After which the team searched his official residence and cash worth Rs 99 lakh 2 thousand 540 was recovered from his official residence. The ACB has arrested both of them and taken them to Jamshedpur, from where they will be sent to jail in judicial custody.
