Jamshedpur, July 7: The Jamshedpur Abhibhavak Sangh (Parents’ Association) has lodged a complaint with the District Superintendent of Education against RMS High School, Balichela, Sonari, alleging that the school demanded fees from an RTE-enrolled Class IX student and withheld her admit card for non-payment.
The association claimed the student belongs to an economically weaker family and is entitled to free education under the Right to Education Act. It has sought an inquiry and directions to the school to allow the student to appear for the examination and continue her education without charging fees. The school management has not yet issued any official response.
