Jamshedpur: 8 Mobile Tower proposals rejected

Jamshedpur: As per the instructions of the District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner, a District Telecom Committee meeting was held at the Collectorate Auditorium. The meeting, chaired by Deputy Development Commissioner  Aniket Sachan, reviewed a total of 24 cases presented by the Coordinating Officer.

During the meeting, after thorough consideration by the committee members, one non-approval was granted, while eight applications were rejected due to proposals for mobile tower installations on land belonging to the Bihar/Jharkhand Government without prior permission. Additionally, an investigation report was requested from the concerned Zonal Officer for five cases.

For the remaining 10 applications, errors were identified, and the committee decided to return these applications to the respective telecom companies for necessary corrections.

The meeting was attended by District Planning Officer  Mrityunjay Kumar, the Civil Surgeon, representatives from BSNL and other telecom service providers, as well as officials from various Zonal Offices and the Municipal Corporation.

The District Telecom Committee emphasized the importance of following the necessary regulations and obtaining prior permissions for mobile tower installations to ensure smooth and lawful implementation of telecom infrastructure in the district.
