Jamshedpur: Eighteen members of Jan Suvidha Manch, including BJP leader Amit Agarwal, received anticipatory bail from ADJ-5 Manju Kumari’s court on Tuesday in a case related to the peaceful protest outside Sakchi police station on June 12.

Advocate Prakash Jha, representing the accused, argued that no government work was obstructed as the demonstration was staged outside the police station against illegal activities in the Sakchi area.

Earlier, Sakchi police had filed a case against the protestors, accusing them of disrupting official work. The court, however, granted interim protection from arrest, offering relief to those involved.
