Jamshedpur: 13 year-old raped in Gudabanda, accused arrested

Jamshedpur: A 13 year-old Sabar girl was allegedly raped by one of her neighbours in a village under Gudabanda police station area, police said.

The accused, who is reportedly the father of victim’s friend, has been arrested, cops said.

According to police, the case came to light when the victim was taken to hospital by her family members. The incident took place on 21^st April when the girl had gone to her friend’s house to play during the daytime. The accused took the victim to a room and raped her. Later, he threatened the girl against narrating the incident to anyone and let her go. When the girl’s condition deteriorated in her house, her parents inquired about it with her. The minor narrated the entire incident to her parents who registered a police complaint against the accused, police said.
