Jamshedpur, July 24: The Bhalubasa Jambu Akhara is set to organize a grand Kalash Yatra on August 12, coinciding with the fourth Monday of the Shravan month. This year’s procession will be led by women, with the Akhara’s women’s unit taking charge of the planning and execution.

Ritika Srivastava, a key organizer, announced that women from across Jamshedpur will participate in the event. The Akhara has arranged for buses to facilitate transportation for participants. Upon arrival at the temple, each woman will receive a Kalash, flowers, and Belpatra for the ceremony.

The procession will commence at Swarnarekha Ghat, where women will fill their Kalashes with water. The route will then pass through several city landmarks, including Mango Bus Stand roundabout, MGM Hospital, Baradwari Apex Hospital, and Kumharpada, before returning to the temple premises.

To add to the festive atmosphere, the Yatra will feature musical accompaniment, including a Sing Baja and a DJ vehicle. A tableau vehicle will showcase a presentation of Lord Shiva. The event will culminate with all participants performing Jal Abhishek at Baba Lingeshwar Nath, with special arrangements made for Argha.

The press conference detailing the event was attended by several prominent organizers, including Kakoli Mukherjee, Aarti Mukhi, Ranjita Rai, and Sulochana.
