Jamshedpur, July 24: In a significant political move, a delegation from the Jharkhand Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken their concerns to the highest electoral authority in India. Led by state BJP president Babulal Marandi, the group visited the Election Commission of India’s office in Delhi to lodge a formal complaint against the Jharkhand government. The delegation, which included prominent figures such as Leader of Opposition Amar Kumar Bauri, MLA Anant Ojha, Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu, and Jamshedpur BJP leader Kulwant Singh Bunty, presented a series of serious allegations to the Commission.

At the core of their complaint is the accusation that the current Jharkhand government is allowing, and potentially facilitating, the infiltration of Bangladeshi nationals into the state. The BJP claims that these infiltrators are being provided with fake identity cards and, more alarmingly, their names are being added to the voter lists. The party expressed deep concern over the creation of various types of identity documents for these alleged infiltrators, suggesting that this could be a deliberate attempt to manipulate future elections in the state.

The BJP delegation emphasized that despite repeatedly bringing this issue to the attention of the state government, no action has been taken to address these concerns. This perceived inaction has prompted the party to seek intervention from the Election Commission. They have called for a thorough and serious investigation into the matter, stressing the potential impact on the integrity of the electoral process in Jharkhand.

The allegations raised by the BJP touch upon sensitive issues of national security, citizenship, and electoral fairness. If proven true, they could have significant implications for the political landscape of Jharkhand and raise questions about the mechanisms in place to prevent such alleged malpractices. As of now, neither the Jharkhand government nor the Election Commission has issued an official response to these allegations. The political community and the public alike are now waiting to see how the Election Commission will respond to this complaint and what steps, if any, will be taken to investigate these serious claims.
