Ranchi, Dec 2: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) is set to conduct board exams for classes 8, 9, and 11 by late January or early February 2025. Matriculation and intermediate exams are expected to commence around February 15. Preparations are underway, and the examination schedule will be announced soon. According to officials, the submission of examination forms has begun, with clear deadlines to ensure smooth operations.
The exams for classes 8, 9, and 11 will be conducted on OMR sheets featuring multiple-choice questions (MCQs). For matriculation and intermediate exams, the question format will follow the 2024 pattern, with 30 MCQs worth one mark each. Practical subjects will include an internal assessment of 20 marks conducted by respective schools and colleges.
Form submission deadlines have been specified for various classes. For matriculation, forms can be submitted without a late fee until December 14, and with a late fee from December 15 to 21. Applications without a late fee will be verified by December 17, and those with a late fee by December 23. For intermediate exams, applications are to be submitted from December 3 to 17 without a late fee, and from December 18 to 24 with a late fee. Verification of these forms will be completed by December 19 and December 27, respectively.
For class 11, forms must be submitted by December 16 without a late fee, and from December 17 to 21 with a late fee. Similarly, class 9 forms, along with registration for the 2026 matriculation exams, must be submitted by December 14 without a late fee or by December 21 with a late fee. The application process for class 8 has already started and will continue until December 20, with school-level approvals to be completed by December 7.
JAC officials have emphasized the importance of adhering to these deadlines to ensure an efficient examination process.
