Jamshedpur, August 3: Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur East on Friday organised an awareness programme on ‘No Plastic’ at Khalsa School in Golmuri.
Students of class 6 to 8 of the school participated in the event. Club Editor Rama Khanna informed about the ill effects of plastic on the environment and asked the students to use paper and cloth bag instead of plastic.
On the occasion a speech competition was also organised on spreading awareness against use of plastic for environment conservation. 25 students of the school presented their views on the same. Top three students were awarded along with consolation prizes. President of the club Rekha Jha, Nilima, Ira, Manjari, Sarita, Anjubala and other were present on the occasion.
