Jamshedpur, Feb 13: The Jamshedpur branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) organized a friendly tennis ball cricket tournament at Shahid Nirmal Mahto Stadium in Ulliyan in memory of its former president late CA Dinesh Chowdhary. ICAI and Income Tax Department teams played friendly matches of 10 overs each. ICAI and IT Department were divided into four teams. The first two matches were won by ICAI teams ‘Red’ and ‘Yellow.’ However, in the final match, IT Department beat ICAI by seven wickets to clinch the trophy. The trophy was collected by winning team captain Pravin Kumar Chauhan. For runner up ICAI, the trophy was jointly collected by captain Sugam Saraiwala and Sanjay Goyal. The trophies and mementos were given away by late CA Dinesh Chowdhary’s wife. Ajay Mehta, CA Sugam Saraiwala and Sriniwas each were awarded ‘Man of the Match’ trophy in separate matches of the tourney while CA Vikas Goyal picked up the award for man of the Series. The match was jointly organized by IT Additional Commissioner Sanjay Mallik, Joint Commissioner Narsing Khalko, ICAI Jamshedpur Chairman CA Sanjay Goyal, Secretary CA Sugam Saraiwala, CA Vikas Agrawal, CA Pankaj Shangari, CA Binod Saraiwala, CA Ramakant Gupta, CA Anil Agrawal, CA Manish Kedia and others.
