Jamshedpur, Feb 13: The 600th free eye cure camp being organized by the East Singhbhum Chapter of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) in association with Ram Manohar Lohia Seva Sansthan was inaugurated today at Ram Manohar Lohia Netralaya, Bagbera.
Dr BP Singh, noted eye surgeon of Jamshedpur along with his team of eye doctors examined 204 patients for cataract and other eye ailments. After thorough screening by the doctors and testing by the district surveillance team for coronavirus, 30 with hyper maturity problems have been selected for surgery which will be conducted on February 14. Blood pressure and diabetic tests were also conducted on selected patients.
On the occasion, the family members who sponsored this eye camp mainly consisting of Jugal Sawa, Sunil Sawa, Seema Sawa, Renu Sawa, Sunita Sawa, Master Deepak Sawa, Master Roshan Sawa, Master Aman Sawa and Astha Sawa were present along with Balmukund Goyal, President, Ram Manohar Lohia Sewa Sansthan, Bijay Kumar Singh, Rakesh Mishra and Pawan Mishra from IRCS were present.
