Rambabu Tiwary fears threat to life, informs administration

Jamshedpur, Feb 13: Former BJP district president and BJP leader Rambabu Tiwary accused BJM office bearers and members of fomenting unrest and terrorizing people of Jamshedpur East constituency which had earlier been very peaceful. He cited the incident at Raghubar Nagar in Burmamines and accused BJM cadres of hooliganism at the instance of Jamshedpur East legislator Saryu Roy. He said, “My life is under threat as I have been questioning his (Saryu Roy’s) ways of functioning. I have informed the district administration about this,” said Rambabu Tiwary at the District BJP office.
Lambasting Saryu Roy and the BJM, the former BJP district president said, “The peace loving citizens of Jamshedpur East have realized the true face of Saryu Roy within a short time. They are fed up with the legislator’s politics of lies and illusions. He has realized that his mask is off and as a last resort he is instigating terror among people through his pet people comprising mostly of goons, anti-socials and land mafias. While Saryu Roy was the MLA of Jamshedpur West Assembly constituency, he was an umbrella to land mafias and now, he is following the same policy in Jamshedpur East.”
Tiwary stated that it was Saryu Roy’s characteristic to give shelter to criminal elements and use them to create a reign of terror. He averred, “This policy he unleashed in East Jamshedpur. A burning instance is the ruthless murder of BJP activist and lawyer Prakash Yadav in Birsanagar. He was murdered by one of his closest men and BJM Mandal president Amulya Karmakar who is a branded land mafia and is currently behind bars. Prakash Yadav was eliminated by Karmakar because he was proving to be a stumbling block for the land mafia.”
Raising a question mark on the independent Jamshedpur East MLA, Rambabu Tiwary informed that during the 2005 VS elections, Roy while filing his papers for the contest had declared his financial status including property worth to be Rs 30,30,995 and during the 2019 elections, his asset worth was declared as Rs 3,58,01,947. “These figures apart, Saryu Roy in the last five years has filed IT returns figures of approximately Rs 24 lakh annually. When he has no business, no other job or profession, then from where and how have his assets swelled from Rs 30 lakh to Rs 3 crore in 15 years?” he asked. Tiwary demanded a public clarification on the matter from the MLA.
Another accusation made against BJM cadres was that wherever the plaques, nameplates of former Chief Minister Raghubar Das were placed were being defaced or vandalized by them.
Others present during the media briefing were BJP district general secretary Rakesh Singh, media in-charge Prem Jha, BJP Burmamines Mandal president Dipak Jha and others.
