JFC coach hands over silverware to Chanakya Chaudhary

Jamshedpur, March 17: Jamshedpur FC head coach, Owen Coyle, visited Jamshedpur today to meet Chanakya Chaudhary, Chairman, JFC and Vice President Corporate Services, Tata Steel and handed over the league winners’ shield after a memorable season which smashed various records in the ISL. The event took place at JRD Tata Sports Complex on Thursday afternoon. The coach also visited Tata Football Academy and interacted with the cadets.

Jamshedpur FC clinched first piece of major silverware. Ritwik Das helped Jamshedpur FC and himself gallop into the history books with a second-half winner to down ATK Mohun Bagan by a 1-0 margin and bag the League Shield for the first time creating history, in the Hero Indian Super League.

JFC finished with 43 points from 20 games, winning 13 games.

Having qualified for the playoffs for first time, Jamshedpur FC fumbled at semi final frontier losing to Kerala Blasters 2-1 on aggregate over two legs.
