ISL: Jamshedpur FC defeats Hyderabad FC 2-1 for fourth win of season

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur FC secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Hyderabad FC at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Monday, October 21. This win marked Jamshedpur’s fourth triumph of the season, propelling them to second place in the league standings with a total of 12 points from five matches.

Hyderabad FC started the match strongly, launching attacks from both flanks and creating several scoring opportunities that tested the Jamshedpur defense. However, against the run of play, Jamshedpur struck first with a goal from Rei Tachikawa in the 29th minute, giving the hosts a 1-0 lead.

Jamshedpur extended their advantage just before halftime when Jordan Murray scored in the 44th minute, making it 2-0.

Despite a spirited response from Hyderabad, which saw Cy Goddard pull one back just five minutes into the second half, they were unable to find the equalizer. Jamshedpur held on to claim all three points.

Khalid Jamil’s side will next face Northeast United FC on Saturday, October 26, while Hyderabad FC will meet Mohammedan Sporting Club the same evening.
