Jamshedpur, Dec 13: Thieves took away iron worth Rs 45,000 from Tata Steel premises at Burmamines late yesterday night. They had reportedly arrived in a Bolero and entered the company from Burmamines side. The security sub inspector of the company Om Prakash Singh lodged an FIR against unidentified persons with the Burmamines police station. He said he was on C Shift duty when he learnt about the entry of thieves in the company premises. The thieves entered the company by cutting the net installed on the boundary wall. They escaped when the security personnel reached the spot. They had taken away several iron pieces in the SUV, he said.
